The state sub-project of NESRIP Project-2 “Improvement/upgradation of roads MN06-CW2 : Thoubal to Kasom Khullen (47.125 Km) is a central sector Externally Aided Project under Ministry of DONER, Govt. of India with financial assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB). Under the Sub-Project, it will improve and widen the portion from Thoubal to Yairipok, 7.25 Km length from intermediate double lane to double lane, improved the existing 5.50 m width stretch from Yairipok to Mayaikeithel of length of 7.315 Km and Mayai Keithel to Kasom Khullen of 32.560 Km from earthen track to intermediate double lane width of 6.00m i/c an additional width of 0.50m for curve portions. The road will be constructed to international standard comprising of WMM-250 mm, DBM - 75 mm for valley portion (14.565 Km) and DBM-60 mm for hill portion (32.560 Km) and BC - 40 mm with 6 Nos. of Minor Bridge, NP4 pipes culverts, Box culverts and protection works.
