Fund Sharing- NEC: STATE PLAN (90:10)
1. To promote development of floriculture in different agro-climate regions of the state and explore employment and economic potential in the sector with the specific vision to include the State Manipur in the Commercial Floriculture;
2. To explore potential local resources; land and skill for building a sound State economy through Floriculture.
3. To bring convergence with the ongoing Schemes of the department for Area expansion of Floriculture in the State.
4. To impart modern technical knowhow to selected florist on area, species specific cultivation, management and post harvest handlings including value addition of Cut Flowers and enable achieving standard quality of products for National and International Markets.
5. To Establish / Set up Modern Protected Structures ; Green Houses and Shed Houses for Commercial Floriculture in all the 9 Districts + 1 Sadar Hills Kangpokpi in PPP mode.
6. To augment State’s prospects on Tourist Destination and Foreign Exchange through Floriculture.
7. Setting up of Common Collection Centre flower at Imphal
